Privacy mode
What gets stripped from AI prompts before they leave your server.
Privacy mode controls what leaves our server when an AI feature calls OpenAI. It is ON by default for every account — computed dollar amounts are replaced with their sign (+ / − / 0) before a prompt goes to the LLM. R-multiples, percentages and counts still flow.
What gets stripped
- ▸Dollar P&L per trade and aggregate. Net and gross P&L, average win / loss, expectancy, equity curve, drawdown depth, projections — every computed $ figure is replaced with its sign.
- ▸Intraday running P&L in the post-trade context line (only the sign is sent).
What still flows
- ▸R-multiples, win rate, profit factor, counts, contract quantity, holding time.
- ▸Symbol, side, setup names and descriptions, rule names, tags.
- ▸Mood / energy ratings and notes you wrote yourself (thesis, reflection). Free text is sent as written — don't put amounts in it if you don't want them sent.
Account names, email address and your name are never part of a prompt, with or without privacy mode. Turning off LLM features in the same settings page stops all calls to OpenAI.
Where to toggle
Settings → AI Coach → Privacy mode. Per-user, off requires explicit opt-in. Visible state on every AI feature card so you always know which mode is active before triggering a call.
The platform default is always privacy on.
