What is Tradelyst?

A futures trading journal built around the structured-trader workflow.

Tradelyst is a trading journal built for systematic futures traders. The product assumes you trade a small set of repeatable setups, want every fill captured, and care about the structure of your decisions as much as their outcome.

What it does

  • Captures every trade — manual entry with keyboard shortcuts, plus one-tap CSV / Excel uploads from Tradovate, NinjaTrader, and any generic broker export.
  • Renders each trade on its own chart — real candles from a locally stored Databento bar feed. Entry, stop, and exit drawn as price lines. Bar-by-bar replay on the same chart.
  • Tracks setups and rules — define a setup once, tag trades against it. Define your trading rules, flag the trades that broke them.
  • Provides AI commentary — a morning brief and per-trade verdicts. Always has a deterministic fallback when the budget runs out, so coaching never blocks the journal.

What it isn't

  • Not a broker. Tradelyst doesn't place orders or hold positions. It journals trades that happen elsewhere.
  • Not a live data terminal. The bar store is historical-only on the standard plan. Same-day bars publish a few hours after CME settlement.
  • Not a strategy backtester. The numbers analyse your trades, not hypothetical entries.
