Cancellation and refund policy

This page describes your statutory right of withdrawal under EU consumer law for contracts concluded online, and the terms under which a paid Tradelyst subscription can be cancelled. The Terms govern, in particular § 7 and § 8.

1. Right of withdrawal (consumers)

You have the right to withdraw from a paid Tradelyst contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires fourteen days after the day on which the contract is concluded.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us (Core Structure Trading - Thomas Seifert, Silberweidenweg 10, 10365 Berlin, Germany, email: contact@tradelyst.ai) of your decision to withdraw by an unequivocal statement (for example, a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the model withdrawal form in Section 7, but it is not obligatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline it is sufficient that you send the communication concerning your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the deadline expires.

2. Express consent and early expiry

Before taking out a paid subscription (including one with a free trial) and before a plan change, you confirm on the billing page, in a separate checkbox that is not ticked by default, that you expressly request that we begin performing the contract before the withdrawal period ends, and that you are aware that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal — for digital content as soon as performance begins (§ 356(5) BGB), otherwise once the contract has been fully performed (§ 356(4) BGB). The order cannot be started without this confirmation; we store its time and text version. Merely using the Application does not constitute consent. The exact wording is in § 8(3) of the Terms.

3. Effects of a valid withdrawal

If you validly withdraw from the contract, we will refund all payments received from you without undue delay and in any event no later than fourteen days from the day on which we are informed of your decision. We will use the same means of payment as in the original transaction unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. If you requested to begin the performance of services during the withdrawal period, you pay us an amount in proportion to what has been provided until your withdrawal, in comparison with the full coverage of the contract. No such amount arises for the time before billing starts (free trial).

4. Term and cancellation of the subscription

A monthly subscription renews automatically for a further month, and an annual subscription for a further year, unless it is cancelled before the end of the current billing period. You can cancel at any time with effect from the end of the current billing period. If you cancel a subscription taken out during the free trial before its billing starts, no charges are incurred. Billing starts when the trial ends; a subscription taken out in the trial's last 48 hours is billed from the day it is taken out (Terms § 4(3)).

You can cancel:

  • on the Cancel contracts here page — no login needed; you immediately receive a confirmation of receipt by email,
  • in the Stripe customer portal (in the Application under Settings → Billing), or
  • by email to support@tradelyst.ai.

For help with cancelling, contact support@tradelyst.ai. Following cancellation, access remains available until the end of the already-paid billing period; pro-rated refunds are not provided unless mandatory statutory provisions require otherwise.

5. What happens to your data after cancellation

Cancelling ends the subscription, not your account. After the paid period ends, your account continues on the free tier; all trade data is preserved and remains viewable and exportable. Your data is only deleted if you delete your account (Settings → Account → Danger zone): a 30-day waiting period then applies during which you can reverse the deletion; after that the data is irrevocably deleted (see the Privacy Policy, Section 13).

6. Refunds outside the statutory withdrawal right

Outside the statutory right of withdrawal we do not provide refunds for billing periods already paid. If the software fails to function as intended, please contact support; in justified cases we will consider goodwill arrangements.
